Abies treated Strawberry, cv. Alba/Romina, grown in a polytunnel on the field had after 4 days of shelf-life on average 16.9 % less decay incidence, a 23.3 % lower decay severity, a 31.6 % lower infection index and the same fruit quality in terms of colour and firmness as compared to the untreated control.
