Acadian treated Spinach, cv. Unipack 12, grown in a growth chamber had post-harvest 33.4% less weight loss per day, had no significant different dry weight, had less loss of turgor pressure, had no significant different chlorophyll content, had significant less lipid oxidation and had no significant different ascorbate content as compared to the untreated control post-harvest. The 1 g/L concentration gave the best (significant) results.
