Increased produce quality
Acadian treated Strawberry, cv. Albion/Camarosa/Chandler/Festival, grown in a greenhouse had longer roots, a bigger total root surface area, a bigger root volume, had more fine roots/plant (dose of 1 g/L gave the best results) and had a higher soil colony count as compared to the untreated control. Acadian treated Strawberry, cv. Albion/Camarose/Chandler/Festival, grown in the field had a bigger leaf area, a bigger shoot dry weight, had more berries and a higher yield, the berry size was not influenced and had a higher soil colony count as compared to the untreated control. 1 g/L dose gave the best results.
