Effect
Increased drought stress tolerance
Acadian treated Soybean, cv. Savana grown in a growth chamber in drought stress conditions showed a reduced degree of wilting, had a 50 % higher water content, a higher stomatal conductance during drought stress (+46%) and during recovery (+46%), had a higher free-radical scavenging activity during drought stress (+20%) and during recovery (+27%) and had a significant higher expression of certain stress-response genes during drought stress compared to the untreated control grown in the same conditions.
