Aegis Argilla treated Cucumber, cv. Ekron/Marketmore, grown in an alkaline soil had on average a 13.3 % higher total yield, a 27.1 % higher marketable yield, 34.5 % lower unmarketable yield, a 8.8 % higher mean fruit weight, 16.9 % more fruits, 26.6 % more leaf dry matter, 6.7 % more stem dry matter, 11.7 % more fruit dry matter, 12.9 % less root dry matter, fruits contained 4.6 % more dry matter, 0.8 % more total soluble solids, had a 1.3 % higher pH, leaves and fruits contained on average 5.6 % more N, 24 % more P, 7.3 % more K, and also more Ca (+6,6%), Mg (+4.9%), Na (+3.5%), Fe (+21.4%), Cu (+15.8%), Zn (+20%), Mn (+23,3%) and B (+15.9%) compared to the untreated control.
