Alga 600 treated Celeriac, cv. Monash, grown in a field was on average 0.5 % taller, had on average 2.8 % more leaves, 8.2 % more leaf fresh weight, 20 % more leaf dry weight, 32.3 % more chlorophyll, the leaves contained 3.8 % more N, 22.2 % more P, 13.1 % more K, 2.1 % more nitrate, had 9.7 % more total leaf yield and 16.5 % more root yield, the roots contained 52.1 % more sugars, 2.6 % less vitamine C and 29.8 % more nitrate as compared to the untreated control. (the highest dose gave the best results)
