Amalgerol treated Spinach, cv. Donkey F1, grown in optimal conditions had a 43 % higher yield, 50 % higher leaf dry weight, 2 %more leaves (ns), 15 % more leaf area, 17 % more chlorophyll, leaves contained 3 % more dry matter (ns), 15 % more proteins, 8.3 % less P, 28.3 % more K, 9.8 % more Ca (ns), 19.4 % more Mg, 29.4 % less N, 30.7 % more phenols and 79.1 % more ascorbic acid compared to the untreated control plants
