Asahi SL treated Wheat, cv. Tacitus, grown in a field under nutrient stress conditions was on average 1 % taller, had on average 16 % more tillers, 17.3 % more ears/m², a 2 % higher grain yield, grains had a 1.4 % lower moisture content, a 1.5 % higher 1000 grains weight, contained 5.9 % more ashes, 0.8 % more proteins, 0.3 % less starch, 3.2 % less wet gluten, 0.7 % more Ca, 1.4 % less K, 1.4 % more Mg, 0.5 % more Na, 0.4 % less P, 1.1 % more S, 14 % more Cu, 10.6 % more Fe, 0.4 % less Mn, 5.3 % more Mo and 0.2 % less Zn compared to the untreated control.
