Auxym treated Lettuce, cv. Green Salad Bowl, grown in a floating system had a 36.7 % higher chlorophyll content, 9.4 % more shoot fresh weight, 19.4 % more leaf fresh weight, had a stimulated growth of bacterial strains that were rare in the epiphytic population of the untreated control, had an increased epiphytic bacterial population richness with stimulation of growth of specific bacteria taxa enhibiting potential plant growth-promoting properties and/ or biocontrol activities against Fusarium oxysporum and Erwinia amylovora as compared to the untreated control.
