Bio Algeen S90

Type: Seaweed extract, Company: Data not available

Effect

Increased produce quality

Bio Algeen S90 treated Cherry tomato, cv. Conchita, grown in an unheated polyethylene tunnel had on average a higher total and marketable yield, the fruits contained on average 4.6 % more N, 18.4 % more P, 5.2 % more K, 8.9 % more Ca, 2.3 % less Mg, 21 % more Zn, 14.1 % more Fe, 10.8 % more nitrates, the leaves contained on average 10 % more total chlorophyll (a + b) and 8.3 % more carotenoids, and the plants had a 42.1 % lower water use efficiency because of a more intense transpiration and assimilation as compared to the untreated control. (3 or 4 foliar applications are the most efficient, with the highest yield after 3 applications)
