Biopost AG200 treated Lettuce, cv. Verdede, grown in potassium poor conditions had 13.3 % more leaves, 3.6 % shorter leaves (sign), 25.7 % more fresh biomass (sign), 1.8 % less dry biomass, 41.6 % more fresh root weight (sign), 1.8 % more dry root weight, 26.1 % longer roots, leaves contained 1.8 % more chlorophyll and had 16.7 % less chlorophyll, a 2.3 % better appearance, a 9.4 % better aroma, 6.5 % worse texture, 5.4 % worse taste, a 26.8 % better marketability and a reduced respiration rate during 5 days of storage in a modified atomosphere compared to the untreated control plants grown in the same conditions
