Codasil treated Lettuce, cv. Isasa, grown in a growth chamber under water deficit had an enhanced growth with significant more shoot biomass, had significant less electrolyte leakage, significant lower MDA values, a significant increase of FRAP and TEAC antioxidants, 35% more chlorophyll (sign), 44.2% more carotenoids (sign), 53.3% more flavonoids (sign), 19.2 % more anthocyanins (sign), 65.4% more total phenols (sign) and a 34.8% lower WUE compared to the untreated control grown under the same water deficit conditions.
