Effect
CRADLE treated Mint, at 100%, 70% and 50% container substrate capacity, showed on average significantly increased leaf number (+11.4%), increased leaf area (+10.6%), increased plant height (+5.8%), increased root dry weight (+12.3%), increased plant fresh weight (+11.9%) increased plant dry weight (+12.8%), increased irrigation water use efficiency (+12%), increased stomatal conductance, increased essential oil ratio, decreased 1-menthone (%) (-2.9%) (not significant at 50 %CSC), decreased isopulegone (%) (-2.6%), decreased pulegone (%) (-5%), increased α-Pinene (+64.7%), increased α- Terpineol (+10.5%), increased 1,8-Cineol (+3.6%), no difference in H20 and increased SOD activity compared to untreated control plants. Biostimulant treated plants showed increased photosynthetic rate, increased transpiration rate, increased leaf midday water potential and increased proline content at 70% and 50% CSC, increased CAT activity at 100% and 50% CSC, increased leaf relative water content at 50% CSC and decreased lipid peroxidation at 70% CSC, compared to untreated control plants.
