EKOprop treated Common bean, grown under normal irrigation, showed significantly increased number of pods (+12.2%), increased mean pod weight (+11.1%), increased yield (+20.9%), increased 100 seed weight (+6.9%) and decreased number seeds per pod (-7.4%), seeds had decreased moisture (-3%), decreased fat (-17%), increased proteins (+4.9%), increased ash (+3.1%), decreased carbohydrates (-1.8%), increased energy (+2%), decreased N (-2.3%), no difference in K, decreased P (-4.5%), decreased Na (-72.2%), no difference in Ca (-1.8%), decreased Mg (-14.3%), increased Cu (+22.2%), no difference in Zn, decreased Mn (-12%), decreased total tocopherols, decreased oxalic acid (-17.4%), decreased malic acid (-17.1%), decreased ascorbic acid (-20.2%), increased total organic acids (-18%), increased sucrose (+14.4%), increased total sugars (+14.4%), decreased C16:0, decreased C18:0, decreased C18:1n9c, decreased C18:2n6c, increased C18:3n3, decreased SFA, decreased MUFA and increased PUFA when totalled across two harvests, compared to untreated control plants.
EKOprop treated common bean under reduced irrigation, showed significantly increased number of pods (+14.8%), decreased mean pod weight (-15.6%), decreased yield (-4.7%), increased 100 seed weight (+7%) and no difference in number seeds per pod, seeds had increased moisture (+8.5%), decreased fat (-15.4%), decreased proteins (-1.8%), decreased ash (-5.7%), increased carbohydrates (+2.4%), no difference in energy (-0.1), increased N (+6.8%), no difference in K, increased P (+19%), decreased Na (-80%), increased Ca (+7.3%), no difference in Mg (+71%), increased Cu (+58.3%), increased Zn (+23.1%), decreased Mn (-17.7%), decreased total tocopherols, increased oxalic acid (+9.2%), increased malic acid, decreased ascorbic acid (-2.8%), increased total organic acids (+71.1%), decreased sucrose (-11%), decreased total sugars (-11%), decreased C16:0, decreased C18:0, decreased C18:1n9c, decreased C18:2n6c, increased C18:3n3, decreased SFA, decreased MUFA and increased PUFA when totalled across two harvests, compared to untreated control plants.
