EM treated Persimmon trees, cv. Costata, grown in a 16 years old orchard had on average a 52.3 % higher yield, 33.7 % heavier fruits, a 45.1 % bigger fruit volume, 16.7 % taler fruits, a 20.9 % bigger fruit diameter, 4 % less firm fruits, fruits contained 13 % more soluble solids, had a 21.6 % lower titratable acidity and contained 35.6 % less tannins compared to the untreated control trees. Soil drench application had most effect.
