Increased produce quality
Ergostim treated Carrot, cv. Cambon, germinated in a Laponite gel and grown in the field under normal conditions had 38.1 % more large (diameter at shoulder > 3.5 cm) roots, 23.6 % more small roots (diameter at shoulder < 3.5 cm), 47.8 % more roots in total, a 3.1 % lower weight of large roots and a 7.4 % higher weight of small roots compared to the untreated control also germinated in the Laponite 508 gel.
