Furdose treated Washington navel orange,cv. Osbeck, grown in optimal orchard conditions had on average 30 % more final fruit %, 33 % less preharvest fruit drop, a 12 % higher yield (kg), a 7 % lower fruit weight and 25 % more firm fruit compared to the untreated control plants. The fruits of the treated trees had 8 % higher soluble solid content, were 10 % more acid, had 6 % more vitamine C and had a 5 % higher total sugar content compared to the untreated control fruits. The results depended on the application timing.
