Effect
Fylloton treated soybean, c.v. Annushka, showed enhanced yield as well as biometric, nutritional, nutraceutical properties compared to untreated control plants. Biostimulant treatment increased plant height across all conditions, on average double spray (DS) at 0.7% was most effective (+21%).
Biostimulant treatment increased number of nodes in the main shoot across all conditions, on average single spray (SS) at 0.7% was most effective.
Biostimulant treatment variably affected location height of the first pod, on average single spray (SS) at 1.0% was most effective (+13% but not significant).
Biostimulant treatment increased number of pods per plant across all conditions, on average SS at 0.7% was most effective.
Biostimulant treatment increased number of seeds/square metre across all conditions, on average DS at 1.0% was most effective.
Biostimulant treatment increased seed yield across all conditions, on average SS at 0.7% was most effective.
Biostimulant treatment variably affected 1000 seed weight, on average, treated plants had reduced 1000 seed weight compared to untreated control plants, with the largest decrease under SS 1.0% conditions (-9%).
The protein content of treated plant seeds significantly increased compared to the control after single application of 0.7% Fylloton (+6%). However, with increased concentration and applications, protein content of seeds decreased, compared to untreated controls.
Biostimulant treatment increased seed fat content under all conditions, with a significant increase of 10% under DS 0.7% conditions.
Biostimulant treatment increased total phenols content in soybean plants with a 51% increase under SS 1.0% conditions. No observable effect on flavonoid content, anthocyanin content or reducing power was identified under any treatment conditions.
