Effect
Increased nitrogen N use efficiency
Increased phosphorous P use efficiency
Increased potassium K use efficiency
Potted plants of Rhododendron 'Tortoiseshell Orange' were grown on either 100% fertilization (0,8 µS/cm) or with 50% nutrient stress (0,4µS/cm). The amount of water recieved via top irrigation was the same for both. At 100% fertilization, 6% more fresh weight was achieved in biostimulant treated plants and an increase in chlorophyll content compared to the control. No changes in plant surface.
At 50% fertilization, a small increase in fresh weight, plant surface and chlorophyll content were found. Leaves of the plants in nutrient stress contained less N, P and K, but more Ca and Mn.
