Increased heat stress tolerance
Isabion treated tomato seedlings, cv. Heinz1706 grown in a growth chamber under different temperatures significantly enhanced plant height under 10 °C and 35 °C after 7 days, significantly enhanced stem diameter under 35 °C after 7 days and after 15 days at 10 and 35 °C, significantly enhanced underground biomass under 10, 25 and 35 °C after 15 days but had no (significant) effect on the aboveground biomass, the photosynthetic rate and the chlorophyll content under the different temperatures compared to the untreated control grown under the same temperature conditions.
