Kelpak treated Carrots, cv. Karotan, grown in normal field conditions had on average a 8.1 % higher total yield, a 6.8 % higher commercial yield, a 10.5 % higher total dry matter yield, 30.5 % more deformed roots, 0.4 less roots < 1.9 cm, 29.4 % more roots between 1.9-3.8 cm, 14.8 % more roots between 3.8-5 cm and 1.8 % less roots > 5 cm, had 8.3 % less fresh matter of leaves and 12.2 % less dry matter of leaves compared to the untreated control plants. Single application of 2 or 3 mL/L gave the best results.
