Increased produce quality
Kelpak treated Common bean, cv. Oczko, showed significantly increased number of pods.m-2 (+23.4%), increased number of seeds.m-2 (+29%), increased seed yield (g/m2) (+25.2%), no difference in 1000 seed weight (g) (-2.8%), seeds had an increased protein content (%DM) (+7.9%; double spray only), no difference in total phenols (mg/g DM) (+18.7%), and increased total flavonoids (mg/g DM) (+79%), when averaged across three growing seasons, compared to untreated control plants. Double spraying was most effective, except on the number of pods.
