Kelpak treated Hydrangea, cv. Phantom, grown in a peat-based substrate in reduced water and nitrogen conditions had on average 3.2 % shorter branches, 10.6 % less branches, 9.4 % less fresh weight, 8.2 % less dry weight, 2.3 % less root development, a 0.7 % higher chlorophyll-index, a 4.9 % higher flavonol-index, a 4.3 % higher anthocyanin-index and a 45.8 % higher stomatal conductance compared to the untreated controls grown in the same conditions. No significant effects.
