Kelpak treated Lettuce, var. ondatra , grown in the soil under a semi-open polyethylene tunnel had no difference in fresh shoot biomass on the first harvesting day, had no difference in the chlorophyll (+4.4%), flavonol (+4.1%) and anthocyanin (-1.5%) content, NUE (nutrient use efficiency) and leaves nitrate content and had a lower WUE (water use efficiency) compared to the untreated control.
