Kelpak treated Spinach, cv. Viroflay, grown in a shade house had more leaves, a lower leaf weight, had shorter leaves with a smaller leaf area, had 2.2 % more chlorophyll, 0.3 % more carotenoids (not sign), 19.5 % more proteins, 6.1 % more proline (not sign), had more stress-related enzymes and more phytohormones as compared to the untreated control.
