Maxicrop Original treated Cucumber cotelydons, cv. Venlo Pickling, grown for 6 days in the dark had after a 20 h soaking treament more chlorophyll compared to the untreated control. Significant increases in chlorophyll content were obtained, but there was not a steady increase with increasing concentrations of seaweed extract; 'peaks' of activity were produced by several widely different concentrations. (Results only in graphs).
