Effect
Nutricin treated Peace Lily, cv. Alfetta/Lima, grown in a peat-based substrate was after 3 repeated drought stress cycles on average 0.8 % shorter and had on average 1.7 % more narrow leaves, 0.2 % longer leaves, 0.3 % less fresh weight, 1.4 % more dry weight and 0.4 % less root development, during drought stress Nutricin also had no significant effect on the stomatal conductance compared to the untreated control grown in the same drought stress conditions. No significant effects. The effect on the total chlorophyll content and the content of total phenolics varied between the different drought cycles and cultivars, Nutricin lowered the total chlorophyll content of cv. Lima during drought stress, no effects on cv. Alfetta compared to the untreated controls.
