Increased produce quality
Seasol treated mother Strawberry plants, cv. Albion or Fortuna, grown in optimal nursery conditions had on average a 13.5 % higher runner yield, a 15.8 % higher feeder root density, 1.3 % longer roots (ns) and a 2.2 % larger crown diameter (ns) compared to the untreated control plants.

Soaking mother plants and soil drench
Timing
Mother plant soaked overnight in a 1:400 solution. Soil drench starts at planting, followed by 7 treatments with a monthly interval till 2 weeks before harvest
