Decreased heat stress tolerance
Siapton treated Lettuce, cv. Arena, grown in a greenhouse and subjected to a heat treatment of 2 h in a growth room had 27 % less fresh weight, 17.2 % less dry weight, a 2.2 % smaller specific leaf area and a 19.1 % lower relative growth rate compared to the untreated control subjected to the same conditions.
