Stella Maris

Type: Seaweed extract, Company: Acadian Seaplants

Effect

Increased salt stress tolerance
Increased produce quality

Stella Maris treated Turf grass, cv. Salam, grown under salt stress conditions had on average a 21.9 % better turf quality, a 17 % higher leaf photochemical efficiency, a 10.5 % longer maximum root length, 15.1 % more root dry weight, 12.4 % more total nonstructural carbohydrates, 4.9 % more K and 18.3 % more Ca compared to the untreated control grown in the same conditions. Stella Maris treated Turf grass grown under optimal conditions had on average a 7.6 % better turf quality, a 1.9 % higher leaf photochemical efficiency, a 11.8 % longer maximum root length, 15.4 % more root dry weight, 10.8 % more total nonstructural carbohydrates, 7.2 % more K and 11.8 % more Ca compared to the untreated control grown in the same conditions. Stella Maris had more effect on the plants in salt stress and the highest dose had more impacts
