Twin-Antistress treated Common bean, grown under normal irrigation, showed significantly increased number of pods (+2.4%), no difference in mean pod weight, decreased yield (-3.7%), increased 100 seed weight (+14.9%) and no difference in number of seeds per pod (+1.9%), seeds had decreased moisture (-5%), increased fat (+12.5%), increased proteins (+4.1%), decreased ash (-3.3%), decreased carbohydrates (-2.6%), increased energy (+0.9%), decreased N (-2.3%), no difference in K, decreased P (-39.8%), decreased Na (-83.3%), increased Ca (+36.9%), increased Mg (+85.7%), increased Cu (+25.9%), increased Zn (+30.8%), decreased Mn (-8%), decreased total tocopherols, decreased oxalic acid (-17.4%), decreased malic acid (-73%), decreased ascorbic acid (-25.7%), decreased total organic acids (-51.7%), decreased sucrose (-3.1%), decreased total sugars (-3.1%), decreased C16:0, decreased C18:0, decreased C18:1n9c, decreased C18:2n6c, increased C18:3n3, decreased SFA, decreased MUFA and increased PUFA when totalled across two harvests, compared to untreated control plants.
