Tytanit treated Strawberry, cvs. 'Senga Sengana' and 'Elsanta', showed no significant difference in total or marketable yield and had no significant effect on total or marketable number of fruits, a significant decrease of share of marketable yield in total yield (-1.1%) and no significant effect on share of marketable yield as number of fruit, no significant difference in weight of total fruit, no significant difference in weight of marketable fruit and no significant difference in weight of extra fruit,compared to untreated control plants when averaged across three growing seasons. As an exception to this; In the 2004 growing season, Tytanit application resulted in significantly higher weight of marketable fruit (+14%) and significantly higher weight of extra fruit (+14%) for the Elsanta cultivar, compared to untreated control plants.
