Increased cold stress tolerance
Vitanica Si treated Maize, cv. Rolandinio, sown and initially grown in cold and wet conditions had a 4.6 % higher emergence % 41 days after sowing, a 6.4 % higher yield, had 12.5 % more Zn and 6.3 % more Mn in shoot 45 days after sowing compared to the untreated control. Results were not significant, because Vitanica was applied after the onset of the stress period
